The natural environment of the planet exists independent of the political boundaries that humans draw on maps. Thus the environment is a vital area in need of Israeli and Palestinian cooperation.

    This report indicates the vital importance of Israeli, Palestinian and Jordanian cooperation if the Dead Sea is going to be saved from drying up. At a Conference of the World Economic Forum, it was proposed that a canal should be built to bring water from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea.
