Brit Tzedek v'ShalomJewish Alliance for Justice and PeaceLakewood Public Library to explore peace in the Middle East through three programs The Cleveland Sun News Lakewood Public Library will host the first of three programs on peace in the Middle East, "Searching for Peace in the Middle East," from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. March 25. Peace activist and past president of Earlham College Landrum Bolling will give a compassionate portrayal of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through the voices of Israelis and Palestinians, revealing their hopes and fears and exploring the issues that divide them. This half hour film, produced by the Foundation for Middle East Peace, will be the basis for a discussion led by Alan Federman, Brit Tzedek v'Shalom (Jewish Alliance for Justice and Peace), and Isam Zaiem, CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations). This is the first in a three part series on pursuing peace in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict sponsored by the Middle East Peace Committee of Cleveland Peace Action. Subsequent programs will be: Wed. April 29th - 6:30pm - 8:15 pm: "History of the Middle East conflict, until the present" - presentation followed by discussion. Wed. May 27th - 6:30pm - 8:15 pm: Panel Discussion following brief viewing of 60-Minutes segment on "Settlements and the Two State Solution."
